The art of digital services

Eddie is an experienced technology and security strategist and systems architect. Also Director of Engineering for Cloud Infrastructure at a leading government contractor, Eddie previously served in the 18F agency of the General Services Administration in the US Government, before which he founded the firm CivicInsight and led it to successful acquisition by Accela in 2016. A Code for America fellow 2012, Eddie also co-founded the public interest organisation Open Oakland, which he served as Director of Technology, and was vice-chair of the Public Ethics Commission for the city of Oakland, California.

Eleanor is a communications strategist with experience in arts, cultural and literary fields creating communication strategies, digital media campaigns, press and PR activity and audience engagement. She has extensive experience in working with local, national and international partnerships, from local council schemes to multi-partner European programmes.

Liz is an arts curator, critic and film programmer with experience in the management of film festivals, film exhibition, arts venue audience engagement and social media campaigns. She provides our team with invaluable experience and skill in communicating through and about film to varied communities in a range of different contexts and styles.

Manel is a lawyer qualified in France. She has studied at University College London and Coumbia Law School in New York, and worked in international law and dispute resolution departments of law firms in Paris and London. Manel's expertise focuses on the law of privacy, international cybercrime, human rights and European and international regulations impacting digital services.

Marcus is a digital strategist, researcher, content producer and former software entrepreneur with over 20 years experience working with digital media and technology. Also holder of a UK qualifying law degree, Marcus now researches the psychology of digital media use and the flows of information across the internet. He is author of After the Fact? The Truth about Fake News (2020) and Filling the Void: Emotion, Capitalism & Social Media (2017) and has written for The Guardian, openDemocracy, and New Humanist.

Originally trained in journalism, Tábata is our operational lead, and is usually our first point of contact when we are approached for new business.

Having spent the last few years leading teams and running operations in the hospitality industry, Tábata brings shrewd logistical and operational skill to our team.

Thomas is a sociologist with over 25 years experience in social research, specialising in the cultural dynamics and sensitivies of identity - such as race, gender, and class. He holds a PhD in sociology from Goldsmiths, University of London, and is an expert analyst of visual representation in political messaging, which helps enormously with our advisory on visual materials. He also researches social origins of far-right movements in European political culture and advises our work on extremism.
